The Daniels Building
Heritage Institutional Project
This project required that the products maintained the interior trim and matched all existing openings as they were in the original building. It was also important for the products to be approved by Heritage Toronto to maintain heritage status.
The new building for the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design at One Spadina Crescent was designed to revitalize the western edge of the University of Toronto’s campus on the Spadina corridor and reinvent it as an urban design hub in the city.
The project included the renovation of the original heritage building and the integration of contemporary architectural features, designed by Nader Tehrani and Katherine Faulkner, principals of the internationally acclaimed firm NADAAA — in collaboration with Architect-of-record Adamson & Associates, landscape architects Public Work, and heritage architects ERA.
Our role was to supply a product that was able to maintain the look and feel of the original building. Our experienced installation team worked closely with architects ERA and the commercial builder to complete the installation and achieve the desired results on this project.
